pharmacy (2)We recommend that all prescriptions for your four-legged family members be dispensed and purchased from our clinic, to maintain high safety and quality standards, and provide the recommended guarantees from our pharmaceutical partners.

At Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital, we offer a home delivery service with the convenience of auto-ship as well. This means you can order quality prescription medications, diets and health care products which are sourced directly from the manufacturer, and have them shipped right to your front door, just when you need it. In addition to supporting a locally owned business, we can support you if you have any concerns or problems with the medications. We also offer coupons, free delivery, rebates, and loyalty programs to keep prices competitive.

Starting November 18, 2021, our policy will be to issue you a written prescription for all medications, preventatives, and diets you wish to obtain from an outside pharmacy. This prescription can be picked up from our office or a digital copy can be emailed directly to you. The prescription can then be used at any pharmacy of your choice. Each pharmacy will have their own policies as to how they process written prescriptions. Please make sure to check with the pharmacy you plan on using in advance so there won’t be any lapse in medications if they require you to mail in the written prescription. We cannot email or fax our prescriptions to outside pharmacies, and we will not accept faxed or telephone requests for authorization.

We are concerned about large box pharmacies because products which are being sold below cost are often:

  • Expired
  • Counterfeit
  • Mislabeled
  • No Guarantee of quality or support if you have a problem

New users will need to set up a username and password to create an account, and that’s it! Since you’re already our client, your information and your pet’s information exists in our online pharmacy as well. Once you submit a prescription, your pet’s doctor will review and authorize your request. This usually takes 1-2 business days. Please keep in mind that by law your pet must be examined by us within the past year for us to prescribe any medication. If it has been over one year since your last visit, please call for an appointment first. If you have any questions, feel free to call the office and we will be happy to help you through the process.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to continuing to help you take the best possible care of your furry family members! Please continue to support us by keeping your pharmacy business local- we appreciate it!
